Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel or lodge, where you can settle in and begin to soak up the atmosphere of this iconic location. In the evening, experience a Boma Dinner, a vibrant introduction to Zimbabwean culture. This special dinner includes traditional dishes and live entertainment, with drumming and dance performances. This event lasts approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, and you’ll have a chance to browse local crafts and souvenirs on your way out.

Today, embark on a guided tour of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Your guide will share insights into the falls’ formation, geology, and cultural significance to the local communities. Afterward, enjoy free time to explore the local markets or choose from other optional activities available in Victoria Falls (at your own expense). Later, unwind with a relaxing standard boat cruise along the Zambezi River, where you may spot hippos, crocodiles, and even elephants near the water’s edge.

After a leisurely morning, you will depart mid-morning for Hwange National Park, traveling through scenic landscapes and rural communities. Today is dedicated to exploring Hwange National Park on a full-day game drive, complete with a picnic lunch. Known for its large elephant and buffalo populations, Hwange offers exceptional wildlife viewing. In addition to these iconic species, keep an eye out for lions, leopards, and a diverse array of other animals as you traverse the park’s varied landscapes and watering holes.

Start your day with a morning game drive in Hwange before heading south to Matopos National Park. After breakfast, begin your approximately 380-kilometer drive, passing through the bustling city of Bulawayo. You’ll arrive at your lodge in Matopos in the afternoon, where you can relax and prepare for the following day’s adventure.

Spend the day exploring the scenic Matopos National Park, known for its ancient rock paintings and unique granite formations. You’ll have a chance to see endangered rhinos up close and visit the resting place of Cecil Rhodes, set on a hill with breathtaking views. After breakfast, set out for Great Zimbabwe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most significant archaeological locations. Arrive with a packed lunch and embark on a guided tour of the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, a historic site featuring impressive stone structures that once formed the capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe. Explore the Great Enclosure, where massive stone walls stand as a testament to the engineering skills of the ancient Shona civilization.
